At a glance: What is RPET
A key aspect of our sustainability strategy is the increasing use of RPET (recycled PET) as a material. RPET is one of the most economical and widely used forms of plastic recycling in the textile and accessories industry. Unlike other processes that focus on the collection of empty PET bottles, we focus on the recycling of production waste from plastic manufacturing. This waste is collected, shredded and then processed into plastic granulate. This recycled granulate is then processed into RPET yarn or film, which is used in a wide range of products such as packaging, clothing, backpacks and bags.
By utilising production waste, we close the loop and contribute to the reduction of plastic waste and resource efficiency without compromising the quality and functionality of our products. In this way, we are making our contribution to the global fight against climate change and are continuously working to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
