Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct is based on internationally recognized principles for the protection of human rights and labour rights, as they are expressed in the United Nations declaration of Human Rights , the ILO core labor standards, the UN guiding principles for  business and human rights and the OECD guidelines for multinational Enterprises.

We, the JÜSCHA GmbH, hereby declare that we are committed to respect the human rights and fair working conditions, and for an active environmental protection. Therefore, we expect all our business partners to comply with the ethical guidelines of our Code of Conduct and to ensure that all subcontractors do the same.

It is expected of each production partner that the compliance of the Code of Conduct and the law is systematically managed. Including, without limitation that all employees are informed of the rights and obligations under the Code of Conduct. Should the standards not be achieved yet, the production partner is obliged to define corrective measures and implement in a timely manner. All employees must be given to a written employment contract, listing all labour and social law commitments

 

No excessive working times

Working hours must comply with the statutory provisions. Overtime must be voluntary. The workers must be granted at least one day off per week. (ILO Conventions 1 and 14; ILO Recommendation 116)

The remuneration for regular working hours must be at least the legal minimum wage. It should also be sufficient to cover the cost of living and to have an additional amount disposible . A living wage should be paid. All overtime must be paid with the statutory surcharges and all legal wage components must be granted. Exclusion of child labour

No children must be employed under the age of 16 or the statutory school is not completed. For young workers compliance with youth protection laws must be ensured. The work entrusted to them must not pose a risk to health, safety or morals. There must be no form of slavery or trafficking of children. (ILO Conventions 79, 142 and 182; ILO Recommendation 146)

The employment relationship must be voluntary. This also means that all employees are allowed to leave the factory grounds at the end of normal working hours. Any form of illegal disciplinary measures are forbidden. (ILO Conventions 29 and 105)

All employees must be granted the statutory right to form and join trade unions. The right to bargain collectively must be recognized. If the statutory trade union rights is restricted, the employees should be given an an alternative in-house  operating form of interest representation. It must be ensured that employees representatives are not exposed to  any harassment, discrimination, intimidation or retaliation. They must be granted under the statutory provisions  free access to the workplace. (ILO Conventions 87, 98, 135 and 154; ILO Recommendation 143)

No discrimination

Discrimination due to personal group-specific characteristics such as ethnic or national origin, colour, language, political or religious beliefs, sexual orientation, gender, age, family obligations, marital status, disability or membership in a labour organization or union is not permitted. Operating Health and Safety

The employees must be provided with healthy and safe workplaces. The best solutions in the field of industry-specific occupational health and safety should be sought. Preventive measures must be implemented at least in line with legal requierement and include, building security and stability, fire safety, machine safety, chemical safety and emergency medical care. Environment Protection

The company is committed to minimise the impact of production on the environment. Regulatory or internationally established standards or industry standards in environmental protection should be observed. The operating environment includes, handling and disposal of environmentally hazardous substances, waste and water, reducing emissions and water consumption and the increase of energy efficiency.
